IN-HOUSE LOANS OF PATENT LITERATURE

In-house loans are the basic service provided for public by the reading room of the Industrial Property Office. During the visit of the reading room is possible to borrow patent literature, above all descriptions of inventions, utility models and industrial designs, which were published or are protected by correspondent granted titles of protection inland and outland, other supporting literature such as patent offices bulletins, annual lists of granted titles of protection for inventions, classification documents, etc. System of loans is based on systematic ordering of single files of titles of protection in fund according to IPC (International patent classification). Documents of less frequented countries aren't stored according to IPC, but in numerical files. In case that requested description of invention is stored out of building in out-of-Prague-archive, which is typical above all for older documents, is delivery of this document to the user ensured by written order until one week.
